How to approach this diagnostic

This isn't a test — and there are no right answers.
Answer each question based on what you typically do under pressure, not what you aspire to do on your best day.

Move quickly. Go with your first instinct.
The value of the diagnostic comes from honesty,
not perfection.

Be sure to choose only ONE response per question.

Environment (Questions 1-4)

The conditions you've created — intentionally or not.
1. In moments of stress, people on my team feel safe raising concerns without fear of blame or judgement.
2. Expectations of my team are clear enough that people don't need to guess what "good" looks like.
3. When mistakes happen, the focus is on learning and improvement — not assigning fault.
4. The pace, pressure, and priorities of our environment support sustainable performance, not constant urgency.

PATTERNS (Questions 5-8)

What you default to when pressure rises.
5. Under pressure, I tend to slow down and ask questions rather than jump in to fix things myself.
6. I notice when I'm repeating the same leadership responses — even when they're no longer effective
7. When something isn't right, I'm more likely to examine my own habits than assume others need to change
8. I constantly model the behaviors I expect from others, especially when stakes are high.

ALIGNMENT (Questions 9-11)

How clearly and effectively people move together
9. My team has a shared understanding of what truly matters — beyond surface-level goals.
10. Decisions are made with clarity around ownership, priorities, and trade-offs.
11. When conflict or tension arises, it gets addressed directly rather than avoided or worked around.

Execution (Questions 12-15)

Turning clarity into consistent action
12. Insights and conversations regularly turn into specific actions — not just good discussions.
13. Follow-through on commitments is consistent, even when things get busy or pressure increases.
14. Accountability on my team feels supportive and clear — not heavy, reactive, or personal.
15. Our results are improving because our behaviors are improving — not because we're working harder.
